Effective date: 1 September 2026
The agreement
These terms govern your use of the Thousand card game app and this website. By installing or using the app you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the app.
Licence
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for private, non-commercial purposes. The app and its artwork, code and text remain the property of the Developer.
What you may not do
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except where that right cannot lawfully be excluded.
- Redistribute, resell or sublicense the app or any part of it.
- Interfere with the game server, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or disrupt other players' games.
- Use display names in multiplayer that are unlawful, abusive or impersonate somebody else.
Online play
The multiplayer server is provided as a free convenience, without any guarantee of availability. It may be interrupted, restarted or discontinued at any time. Rooms are temporary and hold no persistent data. We may block access that damages the service or other players' games.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it will be free of errors or that it will run uninterrupted on every device.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Developer and the Publisher are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of the app. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for intent and gross negligence.
Store terms
If you obtained the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, that store's own terms also apply to your download and to any purchase.
The full version
The app is free to download and free to play. On iOS, Android and macOS it offers one optional in-app purchase, the full version, which unlocks the Master opponent, the ability to open your own online room and the additional table felts. It is bought once, does not expire, and is not a subscription. The Windows build distributed from this website includes those features at no charge.
Where a purchase applies, it is tied to the Apple or Google account that made it, and can be brought back on a new device with Restore purchase. Because the purchase is processed by the store and not by us, refunds are requested from that store and granted under its policy — the Developer and Publisher have no way to issue one directly. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the app changes. The effective date above tells you which version you are reading.
Governing law
German law applies, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country in which you reside.
